Research interests
I am primarily interested in understanding how communities respond to external drivers such as environmental change, and exotic pests and diseases. My research is mostly focussed on plants, usually (but not always) at broad spatial scales. I use this information to predict how natural communities will respond, affecting the ecosystem functions and services we rely on. I joined Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research in February 2018 after completing a PhD in Ecology at the University of Queensland.
