Description |
Tall bush with upright leaves. Mature leaves have droopy tips. Dark red margin colour. Young leaves have maroon colour overlay. |
|
Uses | Good quality, versatile cultivar for kete and muka extraction.
Piupiu | The para sticks a bit, but it curls well. Dries to a yellow colour.
Muka extraction | The muka extracted cleanly and the para removed effortlessly. A good muka cultivar, producing a medium amount of strong, clean fibre.
Raranga - unboiled | Whenu soften easily and do not fray. They are strong, but there is a noticeable difference in thickness between butt end and tip of leaf. |
