Backyard explorer
This project aims to foster mutual ownership of backyard biodiversity issues and actions by uniquely working in partnership with the community to identify shared priorities. These will incorporate:
- a diverse range of biodiversity values, interests and needs
- a variety of habitats and actions suited to different backyard contexts
- a tangible starting point for developing a future biodiversity assessment tool for gardens
- flagging any issues or ideas that require future follow-up.
Powerfully, this will form a basis for shared action that is realistically tailored to what can actually be achieved, and designed to maximise community engagement and uptake for best benefit to biodiversity.
