Life history

  • Perfectly camouflaged on dead cabbage tree leaves
  • Caterpillars feed on the young unopened leaves of cabbage tree (Cordyline australis)
  • Nocturnal feeding activity leaves holes and notches in the expanding leaves
  • Caterpillars pupate amongst debris at base of tree trunk
